Sony and Factor 5‘s 2007 PlayStation 3 exclusive Lair was met by more than just a few whines when it debuted, most of which stemmed from the game’s control scheme. Fortunately, the devs have come to grips with the criticisms and decided to give the fans what they want.

Spotted in Japan‘s official PlayStation site is the announcement of an update that will expand Lair‘s controls to exciting new lengths. The PSN patch will give the game analog control support plus rumble compatibility for use with the DualShock 3 as announced earlier in GDC 2008.

Other additional downloads will also be made available, including one that will enable players to use the Wind Dragon and the Poison Dragon throughout the game. The goodies will hit Japan’s PSN on the 17th, and perhaps the rest of the world shortly after.
