Latest alien-infested Mass Effect wallpapers

BioWare‘s upcoming action adventure title Mass Effect for the Xbox 360 is really something. A lot of award-giving bodies and video game websites have already offered their accolades for the title during this year’s and last year’s E3 event. Take note that all of these are prior to Mass Effect‘s actual launch.

Anyway, BioWare had said before that Mas Effect is actually part of a trilogy with the succeeding two other games being released within the next five years. This gives the impression that the developers didn’t only rely on graphics and engine power as the title is back-dropped by a rich undercurrent of lore.

Speaking of which, the game takes players to the year 2183 when the whole universe is on the brink of the realization of an ancient prophecy. According to the prophecy, a portal will open every fifty thousand years or so that will link the normal universe and what lies beyond. From there will arrive an invading alien army that is bent to consume everything in its path.

Great graphics, even greater story. We guess we are about to find out if Mass Effect will live to all of these when we all finally get our hands on it this coming November 20. While waiting, just enjoy these wallpapers courtesy of IGN.
