Flop down on – or in – the couch. Power up 360. Hey, can’t auto-logon to Live. Time to do things the hard way. Xbox Live update required? Yeah, this is probably what greeted you today when you tried playing Gears of War again, and you’re wondering what the heck’s up with this one.
Well, quote the Disney teen hero, “No big”. Major Nelson, head cheerleader for the Xbox 360, says it’s nothing major, just a few performance and stability issues straightened up by the Live engineers. People at the blog are hoping for more details, though – some are asking about other graphic fixes. A couple pointed to a 1UP post about the deets to the update – except the Major pointed out that if it looked familiar, it’s because it’s the January in the year of grace Two Thousand and SIX update, not the one for this year of grace Two Thousand and Seven. Oops. (So far, 1UP hasn’t edited their article yet, so maybe that’s Oops?)
