Lighthouse Interactive, SCEA sign publishing agreement for PSP

The Sony Computer Entertainment logo - Image 1Stephen Covey’s sixth habit involves that of synergy, wherein two or more people work together to accomplish more than what they could ever do individually. That’s probably the principle behind the agreement that Lighthouse Interactive – distributor of the PC game Ship Simulator – and Sony Computer Entertainment America had recently signed.  More on this strategic partnership after the jump.

This is one title distributed by Lighthouse Interactive - Image 1Sometimes, it isn’t just what you know but who you know that will help you along the way. That holds true for business alliances as well, including the one that Lighthouse Interactive and Sony Computer Entertainment America SCEA had recently formalized.

The agreement basically gives Lighthouse Interactive full rights to publish games for Sony’s PlayStation 2 console and PSP handheld in North America. Lighthouse Interactive is known as the distributor of the Ship Simulator series of games.

Lighthouse Interactive vice president and co-founder Steve Wall said commented on the agreement with SCEA:

We are very excited to announce these licenses as this is the latest step in LighthouseÂ’s growth strategy. Sony continues to strongly support their platforms and their efforts have paid major dividends for both these and their PlayStation 3 console as they continue to strengthen and increase their install base. We believe in these platforms and look forward to working with Sony to bring a number of exciting and innovative titles to North America.

This isn’t the first time that Lighthouse Interactive has signed a formal agreement to partner up with another company – VSTEP and Lighthouse Interactive have also joined forces in order to distribute Ship Simulator 2008 to North American players.
