LittleBigPlanet GotY edition details: free DLC, extra levels, more
We’ve seen the boxart for LittleBigPlanet‘s Game of the Year edition, but everybody knows that the more important details are found in the back. Thankfully, Sony has shared more info on what the game’s GotY edition will contain, including details on the US$ 30 worth of DLC that’s found on-disc and a little extra something for those who love the “Play, Create, Share” idea.
We’ve seen the boxart for LittleBigPlanet‘s Game of the Year edition, but everybody knows that the more important details are found in the back. Thankfully, Sony has shared more info on what the game’s GotY edition will contain, including details on the US$ 30 worth of DLC that’s found on-disc.
First, the DLC. It’ll include seven different content packs:
- Metal Gear Solid Level Pack %u2013 featuring the %u201CPaintinator%u201D paintball gun
- Metal Gear Solid Costumes
- Monsters Costumes
- Monsters Pack
- History Costumes
- History Pack
- Animals Costumes
Media Molecule has also hand-picked 18 people to create user-generated levels to give newcomers a taste of what the LBP community has to offer.
Finally, those who spring for the GotY edition will have a chance to get beta access to ModNation Racers, the next game under Sony’s “Play, Create, Share” umbrella. A limited supply of the LBP GotY editions will include a voucher code for ModNation Racers‘ online beta.
So that’s seven free content packs, 18 extra user-created levels, and a chance to join the ModNation Racers beta. Sounds like a good deal for those who haven’t tried out LittleBigPlanet yet.
