The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar MMORPG saw a lot of great updates when Book 12 went live, including the Delving of Fror dungeon and the new barbershop feature. However, Turbine Inc. isn’t done; Book 13 has a lot more in store.

Book 13 will not just be introducing a dungeon; it will be introducing a whole new region. This is the Ice Bay of Forochel, in the frozen northlands of Eriador. This is the land of the Snow-men of Forochel, or more commonly known as Lossoth.

In this new region, players will have to gain reputation among the Lossoth race. Book 13 will be introducing daily reputation quests, which will allow you to gain reputation after you completed all of the non-repeatable quests.

The Lossoth region is roughly the size of the North Downs. The map will also introduce six new monster types, including Moose, Winter-worms, and Gauredain War-mammoths. There will also be a hundred new quests.

Fun fact for you Tolkien fans: the land of the Lossoths was created by the Turbine Inc. team from only six paragraphs of reference in the Lord of the Rings books. That’s not all; the paragraphs were only taken from the appendix. Neat, huh?
