Lord of The Rings Online: The Shade

Intrepid travelers through Middle Earth may encounter these horrifying creatures, if they’re not wary. The Shade are the latest additions to the upcoming MMORPG Lord of The Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. If you recall the desperate journey through the mountains taken by Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli as they traveled the Paths of The Dead, you’ll know these beasties. They are the doomed spirits of Men, cursed to wander Middle Earth indefinitely (or until the curse is lifted). They are able to attack enemies and horrify by simply showing themselves. Defeating them will be no easy task, but Turbine informs us that they are not invincible. You’ll need to be creative, and perhaps even compassionate; sometimes, all they need is a little closure – be it redemption or revenge – to free themselves from the Undead state in which they are cursed to wander.
