LOTRO Beta Journal: Burglar Class

The Burglar class specialize in the great skill of stealth, but mostly at the expense of speed. All-burglar fellowships (parties) do combat at a slower pace, with planning and getting into position.

Their Riddle Skill, a mesmerization spell (shortened to “mez”), was called such in honor of Bilbo Baggins. He was so adept that he was able to get the Ring from Gollum and the treasure from Smaug the dragon. The mez spell though only works on two-legged creatures. The spell doesn’t work on animals (like wargs for example) and insects.

Careful planning is often needed as a Burglar. They are given bonuses for taking their enemies by surprise: one for attacking from behind and another for attacking while in stealth. So the strongest attack the Burglar class can give is by doing both at the same time.

Burglars play differently from the normal hack-and-slash character, so put those thinking caps on and start thinking up your LOTRO riddles.
