LotRO: The crypt-wights of Angmar

WoW Wight - Image 1In the land of Angmar walk the corpses of dead soldiers possessed by evil spirits attacking anyone they come across. Players of LotRO: Shadows of Angmar, beware. Much like those that dwell in the Great Barrows and the Barrow-downs in Eriador, these corpses were animated through the means of dark sorcery.

However, unlike the others, these phantoms who once might have served the Witch-King himself when they were alive, now lack a head and their right arm.

Centuries ago these soldiers were subjected to a cruel ritual forced upon those that have suffered the Witch-king’s displeasure. They were slain with a single blow from the Witch-King’s blade, claiming both the arm and the head. No one remembers the ceremony any longer, but these wights serve as a testimony for the consequences of crossing the Witch-King. They wander Angmar, sinister and pouring their malice on those who dwell Middle-Earth.
