Madden NFL 08 patch 2 available for Xbox 360, still TBA for PS3

Electronic Arts has just released patch number 2 for the game’s Xbox 360 port, which should now be available for download via Xbox Live. This new patch aims to fix several previously reported bugs:

  • Game play – Reduced fumble chances
  • Game play – DB super human reactions
  • Game play – Favre moonwalk fix
  • Fix hook zone flip bug (flipped on the wrong axis)
  • EASW Bug – User can get infinite supply EASW points to their own account
  • EASW Bug – Games aren’t always reported with the correct account names
  • EASW Bug – Accomplishment ’20 consecutive completions’ not awarded when completions ends up under 100%
  • EASW Bug – Causing a DNF in an Online Unranked game and choosing to continue vs the CPU will award the User with Bonus credits twice
  • EASW Bug – Being on the Away side inputs incorrect data onto the EASW Statistics
  • Online – Fix bug where static session IDs were being sent to MS with invalid data
  • Franchise – NCAA imported players and rookies ages change to 26 when using Edit-Player
  • Franchise – Fixed bug where HOF Unlocked players cannot be released in Franchise
  • Franchise – Fixed bug where the FA pool would run out of certain positions

At the moment, the patch is only available for Microsoft‘s console. There should be an equivalent release for Madden NFL 08‘s PlayStation 3 port, although no announcements have been made. ChiefsFan24 over at the official EA forums notes that the PS3’s patch may be coming in by next week, although once again, we can’t confirm this yet.
