Media Create Japan: Mario Kart debuts at over half a million copies sold

The Media Create Japanese Sales charts are now out for the week of April 4 to 13. Making its debut in the list at first place is Nintendo’s Mario Kart Wii which sold 594,000 copies. Not a bad start for the game’s release.

Last week’s chart topper from Capcom, Monster Hunter Portable G for the PlayStation Portable, is now at second place, selling 222,000 units during the week. At third place is Koei’s Musou Orochi: The Evil King Returns for the PS2 which sold 56,000 copies.

Much like last week’s charts, the top 30 games were dominated by Nintendo DS games. Here’s the Japanese sales charts from April 4 to 13:
