Microsoft keeps eye on 10-million Xbox 360 sales mark

still fightingWho’s threatened of the newly-launched PS3 and Wii? Definitely not Microsoft. The company is still confident that they will be able to meet their projected goal of selling 10 million Xbox 360s by the year 2007.

According to Christopher Liddell, chief financial officer, “Revenue growth will continue to be a strong focus for us… And we have had two major product launches which will help.” And the odds seem to be working for them this holiday season. With six million units already reportedly sold as of the end of September, it sure looks as if there’s no stopping Microsoft from hitting that 10-million mark.

Undoubtedly, the company will take advantage of the lack of supply of the Wii and the PS3 in North America. As for Europe, well, there’s only the Wii to compete with them as the PS3 won’t be around ’til March next year. Well, it certainly pays to get a good headstart from everybody else, don’t it?
