A big “oh no, they didn’t!” moment came about last week when Ernst & Young revealed that some of their firm’s clients are joining in on tests to see if PlayStation Home could become a viable environment for virtual corporate meetings. One of Ernst & Young’s clients is Microsoft.

Now, speaking to CVG, Microsoft has dismissed these reports, saying that they “will not be using Home as a tool for virtual meetings.” And just to prove the point, a follow up statement reads:

With fantastic Microsoft-developed products and applications like Live Meeting and even Xbox Live Party, we have everything we need to host a virtual meeting in-house.

Looks like they took a page from Aaron Greenberg‘s “Home feels like 2005 tech in 2008” book.
