Trying to find a good way to keep track of your kid’s play time? Microsoft has sent out an official announcement for their upcoming Family Timer feature for the Xbox 360.
The tool will enable parents to set their 360 to automatically shut down after a pre-programmed amount of time, ensuring that their little tykes get plenty of proper sleep for their next play session. More details for this downloadable offering from Microsoft can be found in the full article.
Here’s a little something for the parents, courtesy of Microsoft. The company is sending out a press wire that reveals more details for their upcoming Family Timer feature for the Xbox 360 console. For starters, Family Timer will give parents the option to set the feature on either a per-day, or per-week basis.
Family Timer will also give players a warning just before your time expires, and the console automatically shuts down – you’ll want to wrap up your Halo 3 multiplayer session before that happens. Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices Division president Robbie Bach has this to say regarding this upcoming feature:
As a leader in interactive entertainment, itÂ’s MicrosoftÂ’s responsibility to provide parents with tools they can use to manage their childrenÂ’s video gaming and online experiences, and we have made that a priority from the very start.
Microsoft further confirmed that Family Timer will be downloadable via Xbox Live by this early December. Check back when new information for this topic is announced.
