Microsoft will soon be offering a deal for the holidays: buy an Xbox 360 and migrate your Xbox Live account to Gold status and you’ll be getting a free copy of the Halo 3. If you’re a die-hard fan of the original Xbox this may be the time to finish the fight. Microsoft will be offering a deal for the holidays: You’ll be getting a free copy of the Halo 3 by buying an Xbox 360 and migrating your Xbox Live account to Gold status.

The deal only works if your current Xbox account is from the original Xbox. The promotion will start on November 21 and end on December 21. You’ll have to buy the console then and migrate your Xbox Live account to Gold before the deadline (which is December 21).

Ok, buy Xbox 360, migrate to Gold. Then go to the registration page (follow the link below) and register your system’s serial number. You’ll get your copy of Halo 3 in the mail by January 18 next year (which sounds long, but that’s only less than two months away).
