Microsoft will reveal more Halo 3 details during Halloween
It has been a little less than two weeks since 1Up first revealed that EGM will publish a feature article on Halo 3 on November, and as a matter of fact, Bungie has reportedly been showing juicy Halo 3 details to magazine journalists on purpose – even before this news came out. So, if you’re one of those fans who can’t wait for the EGM issue to hit the stands, then read on.
Many are wondering what all the fuss around Halo 3 is about, and it’s actually all related to a theory going around which states that all this activity and supposed-leaks is just one of Microsoft and Bungie’s PR tactics for its latest Xbox games. Many would suppose that hyping Halo 3 is a bit ironic on Microsoft’s part, since it’s likely to reduce Gears of War to the second-best title. It’s also possible to cause confusion among Xbox gamers who want to buy titles for the 360 but are not sure whether to pick Halo 3 or Gears of War.
Nevertheless, another theory goes that Halo 3 is the key to stealing the PS3’s sales once Sony‘s consoles ship out this holiday season. Featuring Halo 3 in magazines apparently is just one of the clever ways to get the buzz going.
However, for all we know, those who have been fans of the Halo series wouldn’t need any convincing on how awesome Halo 3 would be, and the same goes for all Sony fans who have already pre-ordered their PS3s. By Halloween, we’re expecting that Microsoft and Bungie will keep on raising the heat of the race as they have announced that all gamers should stay on the look-out as they would be divulging more Halo 3 details. The question that remains though, is “Is this really going to convince more gamers to opt for the third edition in the epic Halo series instead of buying PS3s?”
We’ll find out soon enough.
