Monster Hunter Freedom 2 trailer

As you guys have probably noticed, we haven’t been able to keep you that posted on Monster Hunter Freedom 2 (a.k.a. Monster Hunter Portable 2). Our excuse? Well, honestly, updates and new info have been scarce. However, we’ve been doing our homework and we were able to score not only a trailer for the game, but also more info about how the game will play out on your beloved handhelds.

According to IGN, the game will look gooood on your handhelds, with the framerates looking buttery sweet and the winter and desert landscapes couldn’t be more appropriate as your hunting grounds. However, there are some parts of the game that still load in chunks, instead of having smooth transitions between areas. Also, the game will support wireless gameplay but not online pay. The local party play may seem enough for Japanese users, but it would’ve been better if the game also had full online modes.

On the upside, it’s reported that Capcom will integrate an online download feature once the game is released, enabling users to download new maps and other content. Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is slated for a Japanese release February next year, while a U.S. release is still yet unannounced but scuttlebutts say that the game will land on U.S. shores a few months after its Japanese release. Aaaand with that, we’re gonna give you what you came here for in the first place, the game trailer. Just download on the link below to get a preview of your good old monster slaying while waiting for the game to hit the shelves. Enjoy!
