Most PSP users aren’t satisfied with using wallpapers to customize their PSPs, that much is true. So when custom themes became available and accessible, handheld gamers were all over the customized XMB themes readily provided by homebrew developers. But what if any of the choices aren’t to your liking? Well, all you need to do is to wait until something that you like comes along.

And it’s hard NOT to like this new theme, created by benjiwolff. Dubbed Moon and Black, this ethereal theme features the moon and the starry night sky in the background, and has translucent white icons to go with it. Very relaxing to look at, indeed. There were also some things that were changed since the theme’s first release, and here’s the changelog (translated from French by the weblator):

• Adding a Gameboot
• The icons are finalized
• The bar has changed its

Do take note of the following: if you’re using a classic PSP unit, then extract the files to PSP/GAME3XX. On the other hand, PSP Slim users should extract the files to PSP/GAME.

The next theme up for grabs is SchmilK‘s very own SchiDeLoaDeR XMB Theme 3.90m33. Saying that this is a piece of art is a bit of an understatement; once you install and use the elaborate theme, you’ll appreciate the hard work put into this project (with the help of SchmilK’s friends, all of whom are credited in the readme file).

In SchiDeLoaDeR, all text locations have been repositioned to the rightmost part of the screen, the preview icons have been changed and even resized, among other changes as allowed by the 200+prx modifications in this theme.
