More Baroque Wii thrilling gameplay, character screenshots

Japan is envied for having an exclusive grip on some of the industry’s best RPG titles. One of these great games is Baroque, which was originally launched on the platform Sega Saturn.

Fortunately, Atlus and Sting are now giving the gamers outside Japan a chance to try this game: Baroque is being prepped for a February 2008 release on the PS2 and Nintendo Wii. Check out the new screenshots after the jump to get to know Baroque better.

Here are a couple of new screenshots for the upcoming Wii RPG Baroque, courtesy of the official website of Japanese magazine Famitsu. Before being ported to Nintendo Wii and Sony‘s PS2, the title used to be a Japan-exclusive Sega Saturn game.

Since this is the first time that Baroque will be gracing English-speaking markets, there are only a few details known about it. One of those is the exciting fact that dying in the game is one of the means to move the story forward.

Aside from that, we also learned a few days ago that Baroque Wii will sport an FPS perspective to give tribute to the original game. Developer Sing Entertainment also made a few modifications like updating the graphics and implementing wide screen support.

Baroque‘s new publisher, Atlus, has mentioned before that the game will hit video game retail shelves during the month of February next year.
