More Everquest 2 game updates

The guys at Everquest 2 have done a nice job of improving our gaming experience for every update that gets released. So far, they’ve dished out a preview for the 28th update as well as a list of new mechanisms not found in the past Everquest 2 patches. Here are only some of them:

  • The house information panel will now tell you how many vault and vendor slots that the house can support.
  • The Quest Journal will no longer expand all trees every time you log in or zone.
  • There is a new user option that allows you to increase or decrease the font size in text and response bubbles.
  • Players can choose to enter /afk mode automatically if they donÂ’t use keyboard for 5 minutes.

As for the storyline, the plot continues to thicken. In Norrath, Solusek Ro is stirring, firing up the passions of his worshippers of old. There’s a rumor that a lieutenant of the Duke of Below will travel the land. The beaches of Lavastorm and Antonica, just outside Blackburrow will be witnesses to the next two Live Events. And there will be a couple more precursors to the return of the gods will appear before Game Update 29.

By October, Norrath is celebrating the Nights of the Dead holiday. During this holiday, a spell is cast upon celebrants which turn them into masked skeletons and zombies for two weeks. Like trick or treat, they knock on doors asking for goodies, which they then take to the banquet to celebrate until daybreak.

It’s crafting time in Norrath! Crafters come out of their dungeons and find a full array of tradeskill devices in Freeport East and Qeynos Harbor, but all city zones have appropriate devices available in locations that make sense. It’s fall, and all crafters should take this opportunity to enjoy the golden autumn sunshine while they perfect their trades.
