More Goddess of Dawn screenshots, new gameplay info

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I never got the chance to own a Gamecube. This unfortunate fact means that I never got to play Path of Radiance, and that’s why I’m itching like crazy for a chance to play Fire Emblem: The Goddess of Dawn. I really want to make up for missing Path, I guess.

Anyway, today we have nine new screenshots from Goddess of Dawn today, along with a bit of autotranslated game info from Dengeki Online. According to Dengeki, Goddess of Dawn will be the first game in the series where the elevation factor takes effect. I’m guessing that this will be similar to the elevation factor used in turn-based strategy games like some of the titles in the venerable Ogre Battle series and Final Fantasy Tactics.

You can check out the elevation factor in one of the images below. The screenshots also feature stills from the game’s FMVs as well as some battle screen images. Fire Emblem: The Goddess of Dawn will be released in Japan on February 22 for JPN 6,800 (US$ 56) including tax.
