Anticipation builds higher as the winter-date release of The Darkness draws nearer. So far, we’ve all been having our fill with just screenshots and videos of this fusion of modern crime drama and supernatural horror.

The Darkness exhibits Jackie Estacado‘s adventures through the gritty New York slums, harbors, subway tunnels and rooftops against demonic creatures from the Otherworld. This adapted comic book story by Starbreeze Studios shows Jackie, a mafia hitman, beginning his adventure on the night of his 21st birthday, as he was possessed by “The Darkness”, an Otherworld entity that then gives him supernatural powers.
