Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe - Image 1A part of me struggles against the idea of pitching Superman against, well, anybody, but getting him to kick the lights out of Shang Tsung and the rest of the Mortal Kombat roster makes me… scratch my head. I’m having trouble coming to terms with why Midway Games chose to pit the characters of Mortal Kombat and the DC Universe. I’m a fan of cross-overs and all (Marvel vs Capcom was ace) but I’m going to need convincing on Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3).

This new vid can do for starters. Maybe it can even serve to convince some of you out there who share my thoughts. This video shows an interview with the people behind the game, and sheds some light on the game’s development.

The vid hints on some aspects of the story, and some sort of multiplayer feature where we’ll have more than two characters on screen. There are also different endings to the different modes. They also hint at how you can take down Superman without kryptonite.

Although we know only eight confirmed characters (Shang Tsung and Catwoman were the last two confirmed), they say that there will be at least 20 characters in the game, and they will be unveiling them at E3 and comic cons.

The video also has a bunch of new gameplay clips that’s worth a look-see. To watch the vid, follow the link provided here:
