MotorStorm US Playstation Website Roars In
It was only a month ago that we brought you MotorStorm‘s teaser site. Well, that site gave you a short trailer of the game’s fender-bending, gut-wrenching action, and promises to call you up when the site finally goes live. (Additionally, the site seems to be directed at gamers around the world – well, except the US).
Well, the site’s still not up yet – we checked – but the US Playstation website has the official, US-based site for MotorStorm. (Which probably explains why the “US” option isn’t available in the MotorSport teaser site). And, while it’s still under construction as well, it offers a bit more content than the original teaser. You’re greeted with a different trailer than the teaser site, showing off the cars, the trucks, the bikes, and the occassional insurance-deductible stunt. The site also offers several screenshots of the game.
The game also highlights some of the features that they promise will turn this game into “the most brutal off-road racing event.” The terrain will deform with each passing – or impacting – vehicle, vehicles will fall apart with each crash and burn. All the action will be displayed in 720p (necessary HD cables and an HD-capable display required), and the enemy – er, competition – promises to display human traits like “showing off, attacking, taunting, and doing whatever it takes to win!”
Ah, perhaps we shall see more of that in a few hours, when TGS finally opens to a waiting gaming world. After all, Sony‘s announced that MotorStorm will be playable. Hold on for further updates from there. In the meanwhile, the official US site has a couple of wallpapers and IM icons for download, if you want to show MotorStorm some love.
