Mr. Driller to drill through Japan XBL on April 2

Fans of puzzle games can now have a definite date to look forward to in waiting for Namco Bandai‘s Mr. Driller Online: April 2, 2008. Only the Japanese XBL will be getting the game on that date, so if you want the Japanese version of the game, then this bit of news is for you. A peek at the Japanese Xbox Live website has revealed something good for puzzle fans: Mr. Driller Online, that quirky, sugary online puzzle game by Namco Bandai, is set to be released on April 2 in Japanese shores. Yes, we’re also excited, even if we don’t know when Mr. Driller will hit our local Xbox Live Arcade.

And there’s so much going on for this insanely cute puzzler: Mr. Driller‘s info page in the Japanese XBLA site reveals the title’s four gameplay modes, outlined below:

• Solo Battle – 2 to 4 players
• Tag Battle – 3 to 4 players
• Standard Driller – 1 player
• Quest Driller – 1 player
