My, my… Chemical romance between Guitar Hero II and Halo?

Guitar Halo II? - Image 1Welcome to the black parade, folks. Guitar Hero II for the 360 is said to have 10 new songs that weren’t on the PS2 version. On top of that, there’s going to be downloadable content and additional tracks online as well. That’s probably enough to choose from as it is. But of course, one can’t help but ask, is there more?

According to HDGameNews, they’ve spotted some snippet in the March 2007 issue of the “Xbox Official Magazine” saying that there’s one other song that we’ve never been told about yet. Told about officially, at least. From the title and pic of this article alone, you might be speculating already from where that “other song” will come from. Doesn’t take a Master Chief to make a guess.

It’s said that Steve Vai‘s electric guitar version of “Halo Mjolnir Theme Song” will make it to the list of downloadable songs.

Now that just rocks our socks. If this is true, then both RedOctane and Bungie are pulling one great stunt to market both products. Marrying both the Halo and Guitar Hero franchises? What’s next? We’re thinking an air-guitar blaster gun to make it on the list of unlockable weapons on Halo 3.
