American McGee will be pitching a new game at GDC 2010 next week, and believe or not, the star of the game will be Little Red Riding Hood. Make no mistake, this isn’t going to be a Disney feel-gooder. Wolves beware, she won’t be carrying sweets and treats in that picnic basket – she’ll hack you with an axe if you come too close.

The ideas can be derived from this concept art (pictured above), painted by two artists from Spicy Horse studios and posted on the developers’ Flickr account, which should provide us with some idea of what the game will be like. “If we’re lucky an interested publisher will help us move it into production,” McGee said.
