NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition: Flo's Funportal v1.1 - Image 1Homebrew developer FloXxX from Germany came out with a new portal for the Sony PlayStation Portable called Flo’s Funportal. The program is currently on version 1.1 and is an entry at the on-going NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition.

Anyway, people are currently debating over at the official contest’s site if Flo’s Funportal is a valid entry or not. Some people argue that the only games and applications valid for entry in the competition are those created using Lua and C/C++. Portals don’t necessarily fit this description as they are mostly compilations of games.

But eligible or not, the portal is working fine so we still decided to share it with you. FloXxX provided the following features of this application:

  • You don’t need a Custom Firmware.
  • You just put it on you Memory Stick and browse it in your Internet Browser (file:/funportal/index.html)
  • There are many games and there are good games
  • There are also videos, most of them are funny.
  • There are over 100 wallpapers
  • There are some programs, including MSN, with the real MSN Skin, ICQ, Yahoo.
  • It also got some Math programs, which helped me often at school.
  • There are credits and some links to good PSP homepages.

Also, the coder would appreciate it if you will provide feedback and comments to Flo’s Funportal v1.1 via the source link below.
