NeoFlash Spring Competition Entry: Kitten Cannon, now with screenshot function *UPDATE*

Kitten Cannon reprised - Image 1Early on in the life of QJ, there was a cute little homebrew from SG57 by the name of Kitty Cannon that people downloaded and played. Two years later, it seems that kitty has grown into a full-fledged kitten (there’s a diff somewhere there, we’re sure) worthy of being shot out of a cannon.

*UPDATE* PSP homebrew coder SG57 has just released an update for this NeoFlash entry, adding a screenshot function to the game. More after the jump.

Kitten Cannon for the win! - Image 1

Around two years back, SG57 introduced the world to a PSP port of the flash game Kitty Cannon. Fast forward to today and it seems like Kitten Cannon is making a comeback to everyone’s PlayStation Portables, just in time for the NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition.

The game’s actually quite simple to play:

Just aim the cannon using the up/down directional pad buttons, analog stick or your Neo Motion Kit and use [X] to fire. The red bar on the cannon indicates the power of your shot.

Please note that this game doesn’t have a readme, so you may have to do a bit of tinkering to make sure that SG57’s game is  properly installed. That being said, enjoy shooting kittens out of cannons, and remember, the cat is virtual; therefore don’t try this at home with actual cats. Enjoy!

*UPDATE* PlayStation Portable developer SG57 has updated his NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition entry, Kitten Cannon. It now has a screenshot command that takes a snapshot with the triangle button. The screenshots get sent to the Screenshots/Kitten Cannon folder and saves the distance you got as the filename. It grabs a shot of your highscore too, saving it as Highscore.png. Check out the updated file below.
