New Biohazard: Umbrella Chronicle Scan

Resident Evil - Image 1Information about Capcom‘s Resident Evil series is always a good thing, and there’s a new scan from Famitsu that tells us more. Courtesy of NeoGAF, we have that new scan up for you, and it sheds additional information on the Wii-specific version of the Resident Evil series.

Known as Biohazard in Japan, the Wii-specific Biohazard: Umbrella Chronicle seems to confirm that there will be first person view gun shooting involved, which was probably something we all expected for Wii controls. What we didn’t expect was the assertion that, depending on your translation skills, may mean that this chronicles the beginning of the “destruction” of the Umbrella Corporation.

Whether this means we’ll be seeing Umbrella publicly revealed as an evil corporation has yet to be determined, but it does bring some hope for the hapless survivors of Raccoon City, who’ve been looking for an end to their quest.

On another note, Jonnyram of the NeoGAF forums also noted that Biohazard 4 for the Wii is expecting a May 31st release date, and will be getting a “search knife attack” that uses the Wiimote‘s motion sensing to slash with the knife. In any case, you can check out the scan above for more information.
