New Famitsu scans of Donkey Kong Bongo Blast for the Wii

We have to admit that Donkey Kong Bongo Blast is interesting to say the least, and well, anything that involves Donkey Kong strapping on a pair of jet-powered bongos and racing against other Nintendo icons such as Diddy Kong and Funky Kong, can pretty much count as interesting.

Anyway, this upcoming Wii incarnation of Miyamoto’s creation will feature 16 races spread across 7 different worlds, and will also support up to four players. In addition, it has been said that early screenshots of the game reveal 10 characters and two unlockable characters, though no confirmation has been given until now. What has been confirmed by Nintendo is the fact that the DK Bongos for the Nintendo GameCube will be fully compatible with the Wii game.

Donkey Kong Bongo Blast is set to be released in Japan this June 28. Unfortunately, we couldn’t really translate what’s written on the scans from Famitsu since we can’t read Japanese, so anyone who wants to take a crack at it is welcome to try. Judging from the pictures in the scans though, the game looks fast, furious, and fun, all the of which are the requirements of a good party game, though we can’t say for certain until the game is released in the US.
