New FFIII Details

Using the information from the newest issue of Shounen Jump, the users of NeoGAF have translated the following information on Final Fantasy III:

• Touchscreen can be used for full control
• Characters will have names, personalities, and personal histories
• Changed story
• Tweaks to jobs so that they are more balanced
• Possibly new jobs
• WiFi (as previously reported)

The point about characters is obviously the biggie here. FFIII was basically like the other NES Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest titles in that your characters were faceless puppets that did your doing. They did not have a backstory or any development. This new change should make FFIII on par with more modern RPGs.
