New details and a kartload of screenshots about everyone’s favorite racer that’s cruising into the Nintendo Wii come this holiday season in this news update about Mario Kart Wii. We get you the skinny about what’s new about the game that has Mario and his friends tearing it up on the track, with more than a handful of weapons available for that last-minute, photo-finish sabotage.
So what’s the latest about Mario Kart Wii? A whole lot, actually. Not only is it confirmed that the Jump feature is back – that handy little button press that let us boost around corners, and unfortunately was removed in Double Dash – but also, the fact that massive online multiplayer races are also going to be a viable game mode.

If you notice in some of the screenshots, the blue sparks that appear when you drift is back – which could probably mean the return of the gamebreaking racing maneuver known as ‘snaking’.
While snaking in itself is quite a difficult trick to nail down, it certainly lends to some pretty one-sided races, with it being able to provide almost unlimited boosts if used properly.
