Drawing upon the success of the first Kingdom of Paradise game, which was released for the PSP, Sony Computer Entertainment is readying the sequel to the title which is Kingdom of Paradise 2: Busouden, also known as Tenchi no Mon 2: Busouden in Japan and Key of Heaven 2: Busouden in Europe.

A fantasy RPG for the PSP, Busouden’s story begins when the the giant Sema Gate of the continent of the same name starts to change color from the ground up. This then causes fear among the people of Sema as a similar change, which occurred 300 years before our story begins, proved to be the portent of great disaster. The players will then take up the mantles of Rou the Warrior and the sorceress Shunka as they head off to the gate to try to prevent history from repeating itself.

The gameplay offered by Busouden allows players to freely switch control between Rou and Shunka, which also allows one to make use of over 200 skill types of battle, and the screenshots below hint of a fast-paced battle system. If you’ve missed the gameplay video when it was released, we’ve posted it here for your viewing pleasure.

Kingdom of Paradise 2: Busouden is scheduled for release in Japan on October 19.
