For a game development company known as Starbreeze Studios, they make some pretty dark games. Better known for The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, they’ll also be responsible for bringing Jacky Estacado from the comic books and onto the console with PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of The Darkness.

While they’re still skimpy with the details, they still manage to crank out screenshots for us to wonder about. How will they implement darkling usage? Is it going to be some sort of temporary team-based thing or are they going to skimp out on making the darklings an integral part of his being a Mafia hitman? More importantly, does anyone’s granddad look like the one in the screenshot?
