New Senjou no Valkyrie Famitsu scans and screenshots
While photo-realistic graphics, bump-mapping and other high-end visual styles may be the order of the day in this generation of videogaming, it certainly doesn’t hurt to take a step back and enjoy some good old-fashioned, cel-shaded graphics with soft hues and shades. Such is the case with Sega‘s upcoming title, Senjou no Valkyrie for the PS3 (Battle Field Valkyrie in English), the title that promises to offer quality next-gen gaming with the warm fuzzy feeling of nostalgia. We see that and more in this scan update of the game, courtesy of the good people over at Famitsu.
In these scans, we get intimately acquainted with the game’s male and female lead. While we don’t know much about them or the war they’re fighting, their facial expressions tell quite a tale, conveying all the subtle nuances of emotion even with a simplified visual style. We also get a peek at how the game would look like in action, and suffice to say it’s looking very delicious indeed. It seems that the female lead has more of a sniper’s role in the game, while the male has a handle on the demolitions aspect of the war – as we see him charging a tank up-close.
Certainly a very mysterious title coming from Sega, but definitely one of the game company’s prettier games in terms of visual style. As always, keep it locked right here for further updates, and enjoy the scans!
