New Star Ocean to be unveiled at Square Enix Party 2007
Famitsu has revealed that a potentially huge RPG-related announcement will be made during the Square Enix Party event which will run from May 12 to May 13.
According to the schedule posted on the website, Square Enix will be holding its “Star Ocean Special Stage” on the morning of May 12. The big news here is that Square Enix will reportedly be announcing a new title in the Star Ocean franchise. A video clip (presumably from the new title) will also be shown as well as an introduction to the new characters and their voice actors.
The Star Ocean series made its debut on Nintendo’s SNES, so the announcement could be for Nintendo’s DS and Wii. However, the series did become popular in North America thanks to its PlayStation titles, so a PS3 or PSP installment isn’t totally out of the picture.
