NID Changer v1.0
PSP homebrew developer _HellDashX_ dropped by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to announce the release of the PSP homebrew application NID Changer version 1.0. This application will allow you to change old NIDs (3.52) to new ones (3.72) to make analyzing them easier.
Developer _HellDashX_ says that “the program doesn’t check if the code using the NID is correct or not, so when a NID changed (like with the syscon.prx), the prx will not correctly work, even if you change the NID using the program.”
Right now, NID Changer version 1.0 analyzes and tries to change only 185 NIDs, but _HellDashX_ says that the full program will be ready soon. The face buttons on the Sony PSP correspond to the four main functions in the application:
- X Button- Press X to change the old NIDs to new NIDs from the folder “ms0:/prx”.
- Square Button- to change new NIDs to old NIDs(ms0:/prx).
- Circle button- Press Circle to backup your prx’s from “ms0:/prx” to ms0:/prx_BACKUP”,under this option the program tells you the size of the folder.Make sure you have enough space to backup,else the ms will be corrupt.
- Triangle button- Press Triangle to exit NID Changer v1.0
