Nintendo denies sending out “new Wiimote straps”
We know you’ve already seen this image from the other day, but why are we posting this again? It’s not another “slow news day”. Well, let’s just cut to the chase and tell you what’s the deal with these Wiimote straps.
Apparently, Nintendo has taken notice of this, and one spokesperson from the company has something to say about it: “The four wrist straps on the left of that picture are not made by Nintendo. There is no new wrist strap. They must be third party.” It looks like you guys are correct, after all. The alleged new wrist straps are below Nintendo’s quality standards.
But before we end this, we can’t help but think about the guy who sent this snapshot in. He claimed that he asked Nintendo for replacements and these are what he got. So where did these come from? Who received his request? Or is this a tampered image? Oh, well. We guess we’ll just go back deciphering Twilight Princess‘ mysterious underwater writings.
