Nintendo Game Seminar participants get their games published

Make games, get published! - Image 1Talk about initiative! It seems Japan‘s taking the initiative to support their best and brightest student game makers with the release of a handful of games made by Nintendo Game Seminar 2006 participants.

One of these games will be sent out every two weeks, with the first one sent last Thursday. The games themselves vary in their creative ideas, and are listed below.

  1. Attoiu Ma Ni? Ekaki Uta – Communicate with aliens by drawing pictures.
  2. Kuru Kuru Tonzuran – Help beleaguered mice by using a ball to break obstacles for them.
  3. UJ No Tegakichou – Acts as both a diary and a game, allowing you in interact with creatures called UJs by drawing pictures.
  4. Hana Toki to Hana Onna – To quote Eurogamer, “an adventure where men and women shout stuff into the microphone at the appropriate times.”

We wish we could see game courses like this pop up. The idea that your game can go directly into production sounds like fun! QJ’s Mysterious Adventures in the Magical Chocolate Dungeon would be such a great game!
