Nintendo Giving Out Tingle Surveys

tingleOver at the Nintendo site, there’s a new survey asking gamers what they think about Tingle. For those who don’t know Tingle, he’s a recurring character in the Legend of Zelda series. But he’s no longer just a Zelda character when Nintendo decided to create a Tingle RPG called Mogitate Tingle Bara Iro Rupee Land.

In the game, you take on the role of Tingle when he was 35 years old and had yet to take on the Tingle form. The object of the game is to collect rupees and chuck them into a magical spring, which will then transport you to Rupee Land where you turn into Tingle. You’ll be guided by Rupeeji (aka Old Man Rupee) and and a fairy called Pingle.

Tingle is not a very popular character and some gamers even find him annoying, which are probably the reasons why Nintendo put up the survey in the first place. The game is currently only Japan-bound, so perhaps this survey will help Nintendo decide if Tingle should also be released in North America. Well, with the survey, Nintendo has placed the fate of Tingle RPG in the hands of the players. We just have to wait and see.

Here are some of the questions in the survey form:

  • Before reading about this game, how did you feel about Tingle when he showed up in a Zelda game?Liked him.

        -Hated him.
        -Didn’t care.
        -Don’t remember him.

  • After reading the article in Nintendo Power, did your opinion of Tingle change?Yes, for the better.

        -Yes, for the worse.
        -No change.

  • Which of these best describes your view of Tingle? Funny. Interesting.

         -Boring.
         -Annoying.
         -None of the above.

  • Based on your impressions from the Nintendo Power article, would you purchase Tingle’s game if you could? (It has not been announced for North American release.)Yes.

-I’d wait to read some reviews on the game.
-I’d have to play it before I decided to buy it.
-would purchase it regardless, because it’s associated with The Legend of Zelda franchise.
          -No.
