Nintendo Short Cuts Showcase winners announced

Filmmakers battled it out for the grand prize, and Nintendo Short Cuts Showcase is finally over. Props goes to Jack Paccione Jr. for his winning entry titled ‘Good vs. Wiivil’. Marc Duddleson’s ‘Koopa Force’ took 2nd place, while Christopher Preksta’s ‘The Nintendo Offices‘ came 3rd.

Winner gets US$ 10,000, a public screening in New York City, and a power lunch with Tribeca Film Festival co-founder Craig Hatkoff. Top three finalists will also share the spotlight as their entries will be screened during the Tribeca Drive-In Short Film Series at Top of the Rock. Other finalists won’t come home empty handed – the 10 will receive Nintendo systems and software.

Paccione’s film is about an ice cream man’s life being controlled by a couple of guys with a Wiimote and Nunchuk. Spoilers kill the fun, so just watch the video for yourself on the embed below.
