NIS America: cross-publisher crossovers will be tough
When it comes to crossovers, NIS America has no qualms about mixing their IPs up, and they’re still quite open to doing more. They did manage to get Cross Edge done with a number of other publishers, but it wasn’t easy, and it’s gonna be tough to try and do another.

“It’s really hard to ask anyone to use their characters,” said president Haru Akenaga. “For Cross Edge, that was a nightmare to get the characters from Capcom. Maybe, it’s going to be tough to do crossover titles in the future.”
The thing is, crossovers are hot in Japan, as demonstrated by collaborations like MGS and Monster Hunter. “Idea Factory is going into that direction,” he said. “They’re trying to get characters from many companies.”
For now, they’re still trying to go for those cross-publisher crossovers, so they don’t have anything to announce on that end for now.
