North American ship date for Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm delayed

Edward, the Black Prince - when European history and anime cliches meet

It’s been made official in Europe, now it’s North America‘s turn, albeit, a little delay. KOEI has recently announced that Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 will be simultaneously released in North America this summer. They say that they are delaying the release so that the developers can give both games the polish it needs. Amos Ip, Senior Vice-President at KOEI Corporation had this to say:

Both titles are taking advantage of new game engines and hardware. We are allowing our development teams additional time to further explore the capabilities and potential of each system by extending the product launches for a simultaneous platform release this summer.

Fatal Inertia is a futuristic hybrid of street racing, rally, and demolition derby. The hovercraft based combat racer allows for players to customize their vehicles and equip said vehicles with weapons that manipulate time, velocity, and force. The game is set to feature insane environments and fast-paced action.

Bladestorm: The Hundred Year’s War on the other hand is set to bring to life the drama of a war-torn Medieval Europe with a cast of characters that include Joan of Arc and Edward the Black Prince. This game is developed by the same team behind the Dynasty Warriors series.

Both games are not yet rated by the ESRB.
