Oblivion: Destiny’s End – “Dynamic Server System”

I was able to talk to the renowned leader of the development crew for Oblivion: Destiny’s End today. He released to me this information. “Oblivion: Destiny’s End will feature a dynamic server system… An entire city can be burned to the ground in a war on Server (A), and be gone, but on Server (B) that city will still be standing, thus creating a dynamic, role play-oriented and changed world on each server.  Every server evolving into its own historical experience.” Also, on top of this information, Josh has sent me an In Game render of a character in the game to be named “Shargraith” which is actually based on Yours Truly, from the text game Final Fantasy Compendium.  Here is what he looks like on a Mid-Quality setting.

Shargraith

Shargraith is the Lord of the Legion of Nizzral, which holds dominion over the territories of Veldt, Teroa, and Noctus. He is the Supreme Priest of Death, under Lord Rokenu, Deity of Death. Shargraith is an undead entity, living for more than 500 years now.

The game is set for an April 2007 beta release.  It will supposedly set the next industry standard for MMORPGs – a tall order, that; let’s see how it stacks up against the best.
