Those folks interested in the hardware of the Xbox 360 may get a kick out of this next report we have. A poster on the Xbox-Underground forums by the name of Electric Tuner has put up a picture of what he claims is the Opus Xbox 360 motherboard.
The Opus motherboard is essentially a motherboard from the Falcon generation of motherboards that lacks an HDMI port. It features a a 65nm CPU and 90nm GPU.
What’s interesting about this motherboard showing up now is that this picture is supposed to be of a motherboard from a recently repaired Xbox 360. If the story of the Opus holds true, it means that repaired consoles should, ideally, now be less likely to get a red ring of death.
