Overlord demo now available on Xbox Live Martketplace

 

Do you have your evil laugh down pat? Finally, the outlet for your despotic and twisted side is here. The Overlord demo is now available at the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Triumph Studios and Codemasters‘ upcoming title is bent on getting players set up with their very own faithful and loyal minion army. Who wouldn’t want one? In the demo, you’ll get to wear that uber cool Overlord armor and raise your army or minions. Then you’ll get to wreak havoc in The Mellow Hills, generally scare the innocent populace (and rob them for everything they’re worth), and gather lifeforce from sheep. Plus you can upgrade your minion army – even pumpkins will work as helmets for them.

Also included in the demo is a fight with the Guard Troll at the Slave Camp. So many towns to destroy, dark towers to build, heroes to defeat, and places to conquer with so little time. Most of that will come in the full game, of course. Overlord will feature three other minion types, an army of up to 50 minions, a number of other domains to explore, and seven twisted heroes to face off with.

You’ll get to enjoy all of that come June 29. PC gamers, don’t despair. The PC demo will be coming in a couple of days.
