Peter Jackson teams further with Microsoft
The moment Peter Jackson was spotted at today’s X06, people knew at once something gigantic is about to happen. Nope, Lord of the Rings isn’t gigantic enough. King Kong as well does not compare. In fact, this something is so immense Jackson himself doesn’t even know what to call it.
For now, Microsoft and Jackson (through his Wingnut Studios) with long partner Fran Walsh are happy to announce that they are all collaborating to form Wingnut Interactive. The new division is dedicated to producing new content for the 360. Reports speculate that the first one will be set in the Halo universe.
Jackson then leaves all of us this message: “This new form of entertainment is neither a movie, nor a game, but a combination of the two…and it is sure to be awesome.”
