Phoenix Wright 3 to arrive with full english version

No, this isn't the box shot. Would be cool if it was. - Image 1Great news for fans of the popular Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series! If you’ve been busy crossing off the days to the U.S. version’s September release, you’ll be glad to know that you can finally cross off one whole month of waiting, as the Japanese version itself will come with a fully-translated English language option. Cool beans, we say!

That’s not all. The game, slated for an August 23 release in the land of the rising sun and entitled Gyakuten Saiban 3, will be tagged with the Best Price label. This means buying the third title in the critically-acclaimed Courtroom Drama series will be easier on the budget, especially those looking to import the game. How much would this “best price” tag be? Â¥ 2,980 or about US$ 25. Not bad, actually.

While we all can’t wait on getting our hands on a copy, we also can’t help but wonder what it means in regards to the game’s content. If one remembers, Phoenix Wright 2: Justice for All was also shipped with an English language option, but it suffered from some rather cringe-worthy mistranslations. Add to that the fact that it only had four cases, while the first game had an extra case that took advantage of the Dual Screen’s features.

While we certainly can look over a few typos here and there, will we be let down in the hopes of an extra case, seeing as the third title is being marketed as a ‘budget’ title? We can only speculate, but one thing’s for certain – we’re all itching to slam our hands down on the stand, point and yell ‘OBJECTION!’ once again.  In the meantime, why not take a trip down memory lane peruse our reviews of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Phoenix Wright 2: Justice for All?
