If you’re very particular about personalizing your handhelds, then you don’t want to miss out on the updated version of SeanPaul223‘s Pimp My Name homebrew application (previous release here). Yes, the name of the program itself already lends a lot of bling to any Sony PlayStation Portable that has it installed.
Basically, Pimp My Name is a program that lets Sony PSP users create stylized five-letter tags with a virtual keyboard. And what’s new with this version? Some of the noteworthy changes include revisions to the keyboard and the new screenshot feature. Here’s the entire changelog:
- More Possibilities: Tagging Input improved to 7 characters
- Lot of Polices were were deleted
- Ajout banaSplit FOnt: (official Police of the Pimp My Ride MTV show Logo)
- More Custom style Polices
- Visual keyboard Code revised
- List Of Polices Code revised

- Credits Menu Changed
- Screenshot Enabled Through R button When Looking at your tag
- Possibility to Center the tag using D-Pad when viewing it

- Bugs corrected
Homebrew dev seanpaul223 would like to note that the application tends to freeze from time to time due to Lua limitations, but that he’s aware of the issue and is currently working on it.
